My step-dad married my mother when I was seven years old. He had recently returned from the army in Japan circa 1960, and was taken with all things Asian. Soon after, he found this statue in their favorite furniture store, and he bought it for our home.

It has survived all these years and is very special to me. These shots were taken in 2015 to document it in its best angle should the original ever be lost.
