Moments ago… Me, thinking to myself as I made cocoa for Teresa and me…
Wow – we’re almost out of cocoa. I better order some more from Amazon… Oh, wait a minute… I already did and its in the cabinet.
That’s nice. It’s good as I get older to be able to just order stuff and have it magically appear whenever I want it. I like having my groceries delivered and food brought to me from my favorite restaurants.
But doesn’t that make me soft? What about all those people in Germany before WWII who had all these years since the last war and got lulled into a sense of complacency. The didn’t have their grit anymore. Like those folks who stop in their tracks and sit down in the snow to die because they don’t have the drive to survive.
Wait – do we still have any whipped cream yet? I think there was still some in the can last week. Ah – yes… Here it is, I’ll give it to Teresa. Hell, if it comes to that, I’ll do us both…
This is an mp3 of the first of my audio journal microcassette recordings.
I had asked Mary for this recorder for Christmas, and sure enough, she gifted it to me and I began using it on Christmas Day.
Over the next ten years I made nearly 50 hours of journal entries including sketches for new songs I was composing on piano and guitar, creative notions, family moments, notes on my personal transition, and the development and extension of the Dramatica Theory.
Throughout the series, you can see that even though I make ongoing entries on all of these topics, my focus shifts from one to the next as life’s journey twists and turns.
This first recording includes original music sketches, some creative notions, and a few family moments.
