Since 1997, Storymind has offered tools and resources to help writers get their stories told, ensure they are solidly structured, and to provide new insights into the emerging field of narrative science.

Storymind was founded by Melanie Anne Phillips, co-creator of the Dramatica theory of story structure and the software based upon it and creator of such products as StoryWeaver Step by Step Story Development software and Throughline Creative Index Card software.

This blog is an extension of our outreach mission to provide free writing tips, articles, streaming media and utilities  to support writers’ efforts in the areas of story structure and storytelling.
