ADD CARDS

You can add new index cards by clicking on the "+" symbol in the tool bar, or by selecting "Add Card" from the "Cards" menu.  New cards are always added to the end of the stack of any cards you have previously added to your file.

DELETE CARDS

Select a card to delete and then click the "-" symbol in the tool bar, or select the "Delete Card" option from the "Cards" menu.

VIEW CONTENTS & EDIT CARDS

You can view the contents and edit the name and contents of cards either by double-clicking on the card itself, by selecting the card and then clicking on the "Edit" symbol in the tool bar, or by selecting the card and choosing the "Edit Card" option from the "Cards" menu.  

ARRANGE CARDS

The order of cards can be arranged simply by clicking and dragging any card to the new position you would like it to have 

CHANGE COLOR OF CARDS

To change the color of cards to indicate different kinds of content, simply select a card and then choose the color you want.

CHANGE SIZE OF CARDS

You can adjust the default size and color of your index cards so they fit best on the screen and are easiest to organize.

ADJUST CARD LAYOUT

You can click and drag the lower right corner of the Throughline window to change the way the index cards are displayed.

If you set the window to be one card wide, the card list will arrange vertically from top to bottom.  You can move through the cards by scrolling up and down the list.

If you set the window to a larger size, the cards will fill the window in rows, starting with the upper left to the upper right, then starting a second line of cards below the first, and so on.  This option allow you to see as many cards at one time as possible.

To maximize the number of cards you can see, simply change the card size.  

PRINTING

You can print the names and content of your index cards by clicking on the "Print" icon in the tools menu, or by selecting "Print" from the "File" menu.

EXPORT TO WORD PROCESSOR

You can export the names and content of your index cards by clicking on the "Export" icon in the tool bar, or by selecting "Export" from the "File" menu.
