~ Step 147 ~

Genre - Act One Middle

The middle of act one indicates to your readers whether your novel’s personality is superficial or has some depth to it.  Take this opportunity to add a few unexpected elements into the mix, even while supporting the initial personality type.

If,, however, you intentionally chose to mislead your readers as to your story’s personality, the middle of act one is where you may wish to add elements that don’t quite fit and hint that the true genre personality of your novel may not be what it originally appeared to be.

For this step, list the genre elements you wish to present in the middle of the first act.
