Over the years I’ve kept journals in several media including the written word, photographs, and audio and video recordings.

Though bringing them all together in one timeline is a massive undertaking, just making the effort is strangely satisfying.

I’ll add new material to this lifeline as I can, and see how complete I can make it before it ends…

First up are sections organized by the medium in which my entries were originally documented.

My Audio Journal

In the ten years from Christmas Day of 1986 through April of 1997, I recorded nearly fifty hours of tapes documenting my original musical compositions on guitar and keyboard, notes on my personal quest for identity, the development of the Dramatica theory of narrative structure, and speculative thoughts on the structural components of physics and psychology. These were all notes for my own documentation and in some cases for future development. I publish them here as I have come to realize there just isn’t enough time to develop them all, so it is better to share the rough sketches than have the concepts never conveyed.

1986-12-25 – Original music sketches, creative notions, family moments.

1987-01-03 – A few Jokes, ideas, and musical compositions.

1987-02-15 – More original music for my composer’s sketchbook.

1987-03-10 – Original music sketches, mostly guitar.

1987-04-02 – Original piano music, Keith recites The Jabberwocky.

1987-05-07 – More musical compositions on piano.

1987-08-15 – Several original songs plus a cover of Around The World In 80 Days

1987-10-27 – More original compositions including interesting chording and full songs.

1988-4-27 – Original music and songs on guitar. Listen close to the subject matter and place-holder lyrics for clues to my soon-after life choices.

1988-11-27 – Couple of ideas followed by original guitar and piano music .

1988-12-14 – Series of short jam sessions on guitar.

1989-1-20 – More guitar and piano, plus Mindi and Keith make music.

1989-4-13 – More music, and Daddy and Mindi play music together plus Mindi’s own original song, “sheepskin.”

1989-8-17 – More original music.
